"Welcome to the Wade High School website. This website was created by Year 8 students as part of a Gifted and Talented project. It is an example of the high quality of education we at Wade High School strive to deliver to students.
Wade High School is a comprehensive co-educational with a student population of between 700-750 students. Our school community places high value on education. Our student population is made up from a range of diverse cultural groups including approximately 7% aboriginal students. We have specific resources and programs to assist students with special needs and these programs are going from strength to strength.
Our school has a strong academic focus where teachers strive to deliver quality lessons that will engage students, enhance student performance and develop thinking skills. Our emphasis is on quality teaching. Specific programs to enhance academic performance include Gifted and Talented programs for Year 7 and Year 8, the Maths 300 program, Australian Business Week for Year 10, study skills programs for different years and the teaching of thinking skills in HSIE. We have a history of achieving excellent academic results in the Higher School Certificate across a range of subjects, including exceptional results in languages over many years." NEWS THIS WEEK
Laura Andreazza and Patrick Rose have been at the Pacific School Games in Canberra last week competing in their Athletics events. They both have achieved outstanding results and need to be congratulated on their efforts.

Laura - 100 m - 3rd in Heat in 12.99sec (Personal Best), another PB in the Semi-Final running 12.88sec and qualified for final. In the final Laura placed 8th in a time of 13.05 sec. 12 Years Relay - The NSW Relay Team came 2nd overall with a fantastic finish by Laura as the fourth runner

Patrick - 800m, 1st in Heat – 2.08.49 (Personal Best) and qualified for the final. Patrick came 5th in Final – 2.08.7. This is a fantastic achievement
